Al-Kasaba Theatre, Theatre and movie house in Ramallah, Palestine

Al-Kasaba Theatre is a multipurpose venue in Ramallah that houses cinema screens and flexible performance spaces for various types of theatre. The building combines screening facilities with adaptable stages to host different kinds of artistic events.

The institution was founded in 1970 in Jerusalem as Theatre Arts Group and moved to Ramallah in 1998. It now operates from a former cinema building that once served as Al-Jameel Cinema.

This venue showcases work by Palestinian artists and filmmakers alongside international productions that shape the city's cultural life. You will see local talent performing alongside visiting artists from other countries.

The venue offers regular film screenings and theatrical performances throughout the year. Check their website for current programming and ticket information before your visit.

The institution received visits from Nobel Prize winners Wole Soyinka and Jose Saramago in 2002, marking its recognition in the international cultural world. These visits reflect the prestige it gained as a cultural space.
