Gruža Lake

Gruža Lake is a man-made reservoir created by damming the Gruža River in the Šumadija region near Kragujevac. The water is treated and supplied to thousands of residents across the area for daily consumption.

The project was planned in the 1970s and the lake began operations in 1983. It was built to provide a reliable water supply for the growing city of Kragujevac.
