Resava cave

This limestone cave system extends for 2304 meters through three distinct levels, featuring numerous stalactites, stalagmites, and crystalline formations throughout its chambers.

Local shepherds discovered the cave entrance in 1962, leading to immediate scientific exploration and subsequent opening as a tourist attraction in 1972.

Archaeological findings within the cave, including stone tools and spear points, indicate human presence during prehistoric periods in this region of Serbia.

The cave maintains a constant temperature of 7 degrees Celsius with guided tours covering 800 meters of illuminated pathways during operating hours from April to October.

The Hall of Fused Columns displays numerous stalagnates that broke during earthquakes and naturally reconnected over thousands of years.
