Zrenjanin Cathedral

The Cathedral of Saint John of Nepomuk is a brick-built Catholic church with tall arched windows and two prominent towers dominating its main facade. The building commands the Trg slobode square and shapes Zrenjanin's cityscape with its solid mass.

Construction started in 1868 and brought Romanesque Revival design to this region during a period of religious growth in Serbia. The project arose from the local Catholic community's need for a larger and stronger place of worship.
