Zrenjanin City Hall, Government building in Freedom Square, Zrenjanin, Serbia
The pale yellow City Hall stands at the heart of Freedom Square with three copper towers and large stained glass windows representing wisdom, justice, and power.
Built between 1816 and 1820 following a fire that destroyed the previous county building, the structure underwent major renovations from 1885 to 1887.
The City Hall functions as both the municipal headquarters and the Central Banat District office, featuring marble staircases and decorative architectural elements throughout the interior.
Visitors can access the building on weekdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM to explore its administrative offices.
The building contains intricate Zsolnay roof tiles and was among the first structures in southern Hungary to receive electrical lighting and telephone connections.
