Society for Culture, Art and International Cooperation Adligat, Cultural museum and library in Belgrade, Serbia
The Society for Culture, Art and International Cooperation Adligat maintains three distinct collections focusing on Serbian literature, books, and international cultural exchange.
The institution evolved from the Lazic Library, established in 1882, making it the longest-running family library in Serbia that opened to the public in 2012.
The museum houses Ethiopian medieval manuscripts, decorated Qurans, miniature books, and extensive collections representing Serbian literary heritage through artifacts and documents.
Visitors can explore three connected spaces: the Museum of Serbian Literature, the Museum of Books and Travel, and the Legacy House containing thirty complete libraries.
Russian cosmonauts who visited the institution stated that despite their space travels, they had never encountered such an extensive collection of literary artifacts.
