Jajinci Memorial Park

Jajinci Memorial Park is a memorial complex in Voždovac built on the grounds of a former military shooting range. The site includes multiple monuments and preserved pathways that mark significant locations within the grounds.

Between 1941 and 1943, the site was used as an execution ground by occupying German forces. Later, systematic attempts were made to destroy evidence of what had occurred at this location.

The entrance features a 1951 monument that marks the beginning of a place meant for remembrance and reflection. Today it serves as a space where visitors can honor the memory of people from different backgrounds who were killed here.

The park is accessible and features clearly marked pathways that guide visitors through different sections. You can explore at your own pace, spending as much time as needed at each area of the grounds.

The monuments were designed by notable artists and represent examples of postwar architectural and artistic expression. The site demonstrates how societies transform grief into physical structures meant to last generations.
