Moskovsky, Administrative town in Moscow Oblast, Russia
Moskovsky is an administrative settlement located roughly 25 kilometers southwest of central Moscow near Vnukovo International Airport. The area covers former farmland and newer residential zones connected by wide roads that run through the district.
The settlement began in 1968 as a rural community centered around the Mosagro agricultural complex and received town status in 2004. In July 2012 it transferred from Moscow Oblast to the federal city of Moscow becoming part of the expanded capital boundaries.
The town represents the evolution of Moscow's expanding metropolitan area, integrating both urban development and agricultural heritage within its boundaries.
Public bus routes connect the area to Salaryevo metro station via the M3 Highway offering regular links to central Moscow. Visitors exploring the district find a mix of open spaces and residential neighborhoods accessible on foot or by local transport.
The incorporation into the federal city of Moscow in 2012 made the area one of the newest official districts of the Russian capital. This shift in administrative boundaries linked rural structures directly to the growing metropolis.
