Moskovsky Settlement

Moskovsky Settlement is an administrative area in southwestern Moscow that encompasses several neighborhoods including Govorovo, Salaryevo, and Kartmazovo. It covers a large territory and forms an important administrative unit within the Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug.

The area received its official administrative status in February 2005 as a separate settlement. In 2012, it was incorporated from Moscow Oblast into the city of Moscow, marking a major change in how it was organized and developed.

The area takes its name from Moscow and represents a blend of older rural settlements with the expanding city. You can observe how different neighborhoods coexist here, each showing traces of how the region has developed over time.

The area is well connected to central Moscow through the Salaryevo metro station and various bus routes. Keep in mind that it covers a large territory, so different transportation options may be needed depending on which part you are visiting.

The area is home to the Institute of Poliomyelitis, a significant scientific institution located within its boundaries. This research facility has contributed to medical science and adds an important scientific dimension to the region's character.
