Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug, Administrative okrug in southwest Moscow, Russia.
Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug is a territorial division located in the southwestern part of the city. The okrug comprises eleven settlements with Moskovsky serving as its administrative headquarters.
The city officially enlarged its boundaries in 2012 by merging parts of three districts from Moscow Oblast into its structure. This territorial change brought previously separate settlements under municipal control.
The okrug brings together settlements that were once rural areas before their absorption into the city's formal structure. People living here experience a blend of suburban life mixed with the administrative framework of the capital.
Road connections link the area to the older parts of the city, allowing movement between central and peripheral zones. Population density here remains lower than in long-established neighborhoods.
Before joining the city, this territory was located outside the municipal border. The transition from rural land to integrated urban area took place within a relatively short period.
