The A.G. Nikolaev Museum of Cosmonautics houses spacecraft models, space suits, technical equipment, and personal belongings of Russian cosmonauts throughout five exhibition halls.
The museum opened in 1972 in a village school building and received status as a branch of the Chuvash Republican Museum of Local Lore in 1978.
The museum complex includes a rocket monument, bronze bust of A.G. Nikolaev, family house museum, and garden park dedicated to Russian space exploration achievements.
Located 30 kilometers from Cheboksary at 14 Parkovaya Street, the museum offers guided tours and educational programs about space technology and cosmonautics.
The collection features the Yastreb spacesuit model, space food samples, and a diorama depicting human activities in outer space.
