Lycée de garçons de la province d'Olonets

The lycée is a neoclassical school building on Kirova Square in downtown Petrozavodsk. The facade displays typical design elements from the late Russian imperial period with symmetrical columns and clean geometric forms.

The school was founded in 1789 under Catherine the Great and was one of the first educational centers in northern Russia. It played a key role in reforms to modernize regional schooling during the early imperial period.

The building is located in central Petrozavodsk on an easy-to-find square and can be viewed from outside during daylight hours. Visitors can access the square at any time to view the facade and photograph the architecture.
