Monument to Sergey Kirov

The bronze figure of Sergey Kirov stands on a red granite pedestal, with his right hand raised in a commanding position toward the sky.

The monument, established in 1939, underwent protection during World War II when local residents buried it to prevent its destruction by invading forces.

The monument features an inscription containing words from Kirov's speech at the 17th Congress of the All-Union Communist Party about the achievements of that time.

Located at the intersection of Kirovsky Avenue and Pushkinskaya Street, the monument received a new position after its relocation in December 2005.

The red granite pedestal of the monument contains materials that some local residents believe originated from the Church of the Intercession, which previously stood at this location.
