Park Internatsionalistov

Park Internatsionalistov is a large green space in the Kupchino district with two lakes formed from an old riverbed and developed walking routes throughout the grounds. The landscaping provides varied spaces for different recreational activities along the water's edge and through wooded areas.

The site was originally the village of Ryleevo with wooden houses and fruit gardens before it was transformed through urban development beginning in the mid-1980s. The two lakes were created from the old riverbed, which became the foundation for the park's current layout.

A pink granite memorial in the park honors soldiers who served in a distant conflict during the Cold War era. It serves as a gathering place where visitors can reflect on a significant chapter in the region's modern history.

The park is easily accessible via the Internatsionalistov metro station located right at its entrance, and multiple bus and tram lines serve the Prospect Slavy thoroughfare nearby. Visitors can park vehicles and access the grounds without difficulty during daylight hours.

The Church of Saint George stands at the park entrance and originally had a red exterior, which was repainted white in 2012. This striking white structure is one of the first things visitors notice upon arrival.
