Парк Героев-Пожарных

Heroev-Pozharnyh Park is a green space in the Kupchino district featuring six lakes formed from old clay quarries. The water bodies and surrounding vegetation create a natural setting for outdoor recreation.

The park developed from old clay quarries and opened to the public in 2019 after several years of planning. This conversion of industrial land into public green space marks an important change for the district.

A firefighters monument at the park's center honors emergency personnel who lost their lives in service. Visitors come here to pay respects and reflect on the sacrifices made by these workers.

The park stretches from Dimitrova Street in the north to the Southern Highway in the south, making it easy to navigate on foot. Multiple pathways circle the lakes, providing access for walking, jogging, or simply sitting by the water.

The six lakes were not planned as part of the park design but are remnants of clay mining operations that accidentally created water bodies. Today these accidental reservoirs support diverse bird populations and aquatic life that give the space unexpected ecological value.
