Dacha Stroganova

Dacha Stroganova is an Empire style manor house situated along the Yauza River, featuring classical architectural elements with a prominent central portico. The building spans approximately 130 feet (40 meters) in width and contains two stories with additional service structures scattered across the property.

The manor house was designed by architect Rodion Rodionovich Kazakov, a pioneer of Russian Empire style architecture. It received official protection in 1960 as a federal cultural heritage site and has been preserved as an important architectural record of its period.

The estate embodies the traditional Russian dacha concept, which evolved from tsarist land grants to nobility into seasonal homes for city residents. This type of property shows how wealthy Muscovites sought a balance between urban life and rural retreat.

The property is located at Volochaevskaya Street 38 in eastern Moscow and is accessible by public transportation. The best time to visit is in spring or early autumn, when the weather is mild and the grounds are most appealing.
