Founded in 1901 as State Wine Warehouse Number 1, the facility started with three vodka varieties and expanded production to over 2.6 million decaliters within its first year.
The distillery manufactured special vodka batches for Kremlin officials, with each bottle receiving individual certification to maintain quality standards and authenticity.

During World War II, the facility adapted its manufacturing capabilities to produce Molotov cocktails while continuing vodka production for military purposes.
