History
Aleksandr Naryshkin founded the estate in 1744 with a wooden palace that burned down and was subsequently rebuilt in stone. This reconstruction marked the beginning of its development into a more permanent and prominent noble residence.

The estate served as a gathering place for Russian creative figures who valued its setting away from the city bustle. Writers, musicians, and patrons came here to work and exchange ideas in a setting removed from Moscow's noise.
