Aymani Kadyrova Mosque

The Aymani Kadyrova Mosque is a modern building in Argun featuring three 55-meter minarets that rise above a large central dome. Marble walls line the interior, where elaborate painted ceilings and decorative elements create a carefully designed prayer space.

Construction began in 2011 on the site where an earlier mosque once stood and was completed in 2014. This new building represents the development of the city's religious infrastructure in the early 2000s.

The mosque is named after Aymani Kadyrova, wife of the first President of the Chechen Republic, reflecting her importance in local history and community identity. It serves as a central gathering place where thousands of worshippers come together for prayer and religious observance.

The building provides traditional clothing such as headscarves and long robes to help visitors meet dress code requirements. It is helpful to be familiar with these expectations before you enter the prayer spaces.

The exterior walls change color based on weather conditions, creating a shifting visual appearance throughout the day. At night, the building is illuminated by thousands of LED lights and projectors that transform its appearance and create a dramatic nighttime presence.
