Geldegan Mosque, Islamic architectural complex in Shali, Chechnya.
The white marble structure features four minarets reaching 62 meters high and encompasses a central dome measuring 16 meters in diameter.
The mosque opened in August 2019 during a ceremony attended by regional leader Ramzan Kadyrov and international officials, marking a new phase in Chechnya's development.
The interior spaces display numerous Quranic verses through calligraphic inscriptions and contain 36 Swarovski crystal chandeliers representing Islamic symbolism.
The mosque provides space for 30,000 worshippers inside its main prayer hall, while its outdoor areas can accommodate an additional 70,000 people.
The marble and travertine used in construction were imported from Turkey's Marmara Island, connecting the mosque's design to traditional Ottoman architecture.
