Description
The Yakov Filatov building at Ostozhenka Street 3/14 is a four-story residential structure from the era when Moscow's architecture was rapidly evolving. Its layout combines different design approaches by multiple architects working on the same address.
History
The building was completed in 1904 with V.E. Dubovsky and N.A. Arkhipov designing the right section. Ernst Nirnsee later rebuilt the left portion, creating two distinct phases of construction.
Culture
The building shows how private residences shaped Moscow's streetscape in the early 1900s. The different facade treatments on each side reveal the influence of multiple designers working on the same project.

The building sits near Kropotkinskaya metro station and is easy to reach on foot. Visitors can admire the architecture from the street while exploring the historic Khamovniki neighborhood.
