Парк Мира

Park Mira is a large protected natural area stretching along the Vologda River with broad green spaces, walking paths, and recreational zones. The grounds feature diverse areas suitable for different activities, from leisurely walks to outdoor relaxation.

The area was established in 1939 as a community-driven project and received its current name a few years later. Significant planting efforts in the 1950s expanded the green spaces considerably.

The park serves as a gathering place where locals enjoy outdoor walks and leisure time throughout the seasons. The natural setting with its trees and flowering plants creates a backdrop for everyday community activities.

The area is easily accessible by public transportation and most enjoyable during warmer months when daylight lasts longer. Comfortable footwear is recommended since pathways cover the entire grounds.

The grounds contain the only officially permitted swimming beach within the city, where lifeguards watch over visitors during the swimming season. This area draws people who want to cool off and swim in the river.
