Нижне-Гниловское городище, Ancient hillfort in Rostov-on-Don, Russia.
The archaeological site spans 831,510 square meters and features a hill with two peaks at the western edge of Rostov-on-Don.
Archaeological excavations reveal evidence of settlements dating back to the 4th-3rd centuries BCE, including Scythian artifacts and Meotian burial grounds.
The Regional Museum of Local History preserves numerous artifacts discovered at the site, contributing to understanding ancient settlements along the Don River.
The northern boundary intersects Malinovsky and Kashirskaya Streets, while the eastern border runs along the western part of Przhevalsky Lane.
The hillfort belongs to a group of six ancient settlements known as Hexapolis, with part of its territory reserved for future scientific research.
