Dubosekovo monument to Panfilov's Twenty-Eight Guardsmen, War memorial in Nelidovo, Russia
Six monumental figures, each reaching ten meters in height, stand together on an open field near the Moscow defensive line from 1941.
The memorial commemorates twenty-eight soldiers from the 316th Infantry Division who defended Moscow against German tanks on November 16, 1941.
The monument represents soldiers of different nationalities from the Soviet Union, including Russians, Kazakhs, and Kyrgyz who fought together.
Visitors can reach the memorial by taking an electric train from Moscow Rizhsky Station to Dubosekovo Station or driving along Novorijsky highway.
A concrete strip positioned in front of the sculptures marks the exact location where Soviet forces prevented German tanks from advancing toward Moscow.
