Мусатовский косогор, River shore in Tarusa, Russia
The steep slopes of Musatovsky Kosogor extend along the Oka River bank, providing views across the surrounding natural landscape and water.
In the late 19th century, the slope became a gathering place for Russian intellectuals who organized literary evenings and artistic meetings.
The slope bears the name of artist Kuzhma Musatov, whose paintings of the local landscapes exemplified Russian impressionism techniques and style.
Several paths lead to elevated observation points where visitors can observe various plant species and birds within the nature reserve.
The slope features a sculptural tombstone of Viktor Borisov-Musatov and a memorial stone with an inscription about Marina Tsvetaeva.
