The concrete sculpture depicts two Don Cossack revolutionaries standing together against the background of a combat banner on Trinity Square.
The monument commemorates Podtelkov and Krivoshlykov, who led revolutionary Cossack forces during the 1918 Civil War before being captured and executed.
Rostov sculptors Yuri Shubin, Vladimir Batyay, and architect Igor Grigor created this memorial in 1974 to honor local revolutionary leaders.
The monument stands at the former location of Trinity Church, with plans currently under consideration to relocate it to the Social City district.
The sculpture occupies the exact spot where the altar of the Trinity Church once stood, creating an intersection of religious and revolutionary history.
