Усадьба Горбунова, Tourist estate in Preobrazhenskoye district, Moscow, Russia.
The Gorbunov Estate is a building complex in Moscow consisting of five structures built primarily from brick. The main house features decorative masonry details and an arched entry facing Devyataya Rota Street, forming the center of the composition.
The estate was designed and built between 1905 and 1911 by architects Olgerd Piotrovich and Yuly Diderichs. It initially housed a printing house for Old Believers literature, then later served as the Preobrazhensky People's Court during the Soviet era.
The estate served as a center for the Fedoseevsky Old Believers community until 1917, where religious texts were produced in their dedicated print shop. This purpose shaped the community's identity and daily activities in the neighborhood.
The estate has been closed since 2009 and remains unused while restoration plans await implementation. The exterior architecture can be viewed from the street, though the buildings are not open for visits at this time.
The main building housed the Preobrazhensky People's Court during the Soviet period, marking a shift from its original use as a religious printing house. This transformation reflects how Soviet authorities repurposed the space for government functions.
