Korneev Ponds, group of ponds in Moscow Oblast, Russia
Korneev Ponds are a group of artificial water basins in Moscow Oblast, consisting of two ponds fed by natural springs. The waters are surrounded by trees and open grass areas, with walking paths along the edges and small maintained recreational spaces.
These water basins were created in the late 1970s and later renovated in the 2000s with reinforced banks and landscaped areas. Since 2015, they have been officially part of Aršinovskij Park, serving as a rest area for local residents.
The site is easily accessible by local roads from surrounding areas and has parking nearby. The paths are well-maintained and suitable for leisurely walks or light outdoor activities throughout the year.
A small artificial island measuring about 20 by 10 meters was built in the lower pond to enhance the recreational area. In winter, the water surfaces freeze over, sometimes allowing visitors to skate on the ice.
