Парк 30-летия Победы, Urban park in Chertanovo, Russia
The park covers 7.5 hectares between Chertanovskaya and Kirovogradskaya streets, with walking paths, sports grounds, and children's play areas spread throughout. It includes tennis courts, an outdoor concert stage, and an apple orchard for year-round use.
The park opened on October 29, 1974, to mark the 30th anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War II. Students from School 679 and war veterans planted 30 birch trees during the opening to represent each year since the victory.
The site commemorates children who were imprisoned in concentration camps through a dedicated monument, and displays a reconstructed segment of Moscow's second defense line. These elements shape how visitors experience and understand the place today.
The park is easy to explore on foot with clear paths connecting different areas and facilities. Visit during daytime hours when sports facilities are most active and any scheduled events or performances are taking place.
The site has a special connection to education, as students played an active role in its creation. This background of learning communities makes it more than just a recreational space.
