Palace power station, Pushkin

Palace Power Station is an early 20th-century industrial facility in Pushkin that generated electricity for the royal buildings and the town. The structure features brick walls housing large boilers and generators that remain visible in their original positions.

The facility was constructed in the early 20th century to meet growing demand for electricity at the imperial residence town. It played a key role in modernizing the settlement during the final years of tsarist rule.

The facility can be visited through guided tours that depart regularly from Catherine Palace's main entrance throughout the day. Comfortable shoes are useful since the tour includes the machinery room and upper levels.
