Church of Saint Alexius of Moscow in Rogozhskaya Sloboda

The Church of Saint Alexius is a church building in Tagansky District with Elizabethan Baroque architecture, defined by decorative pilasters, broad cornices, and ornate window frames across its exterior. The interior houses a Baroque iconostasis and carefully preserved sacred artworks from the 18th century.

Built between 1748 and 1751, this church replaced an earlier wooden structure from the 1620s that had served the community for generations. It survived Soviet-era transformations and returned to religious use following restoration work in the early 2000s.
