The Morozov Estate on Alexander Solzhenitsyn Street is a mansion built in the 19th century with a neo-baroque facade and ornate wrought-iron gates. The building sprawls across multiple wings and courtyards that blend different architectural styles from various construction periods.

The estate rose during the 1820s through 1830s on the foundations of an older structure from the 18th century. Wealthy merchant Abram Morozov purchased the property in 1860 and shaped its development as a family residence.

The estate was a symbol of merchant prosperity in the 19th century, belonging to the Morozov family whose name became synonymous with Moscow's business world. Visitors can still observe the elaborate decoration and carefully designed spaces that reflected this social standing.

The estate is divided today among various institutions and organizations, which may limit access to some areas. Best appreciated by exploring the outer facade and courtyards to see the overall architecture and design of the complex.

The property originally extended all the way to Malaya Alekseevskaya Street, which was later renamed after theater director Stanislavsky. This link to a cultural innovator gives the location a special place in Moscow's arts history.
