The Military Uniform Museum occupies 1200 square meters within the Vasilchikov estate, displaying military garments from different periods of Russian history.
The museum opened in 2017 under the Russian Society of Military History, transforming the eighteenth-century Turgenev-Botkin estate into an exhibition space.
The permanent exhibition Hero's Uniform presents the development of Russian armed forces clothing through extensive collections of garments and equipment.
Visitors can explore 16 exhibition halls containing 86 multimedia installations, each equipped with information kiosks providing detailed explanations about the displays.
The Battle of Borodino exhibit features panoramic projections that transport visitors to this historical event, presenting different regiments through visual narratives.
