The museum opened on May 18, 1982, in the apartment where Musa Jalil spent his final five years before being captured during World War II.
The museum organizes poetry readings, temporary exhibitions, and educational programs focusing on Tatar literature and the cultural heritage of Tatarstan.
Located at 17 Gorky Street, apartment 28, the museum offers guided tours in Russian and Tatar languages from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 18:00.
The exhibition 'Poetry, Love, War' contains the Moabit Notebooks, a collection of verses Musa Jalil wrote while imprisoned in Nazi Germany.
