Пассаж, Historical hotel and cultural landmark in Vologda, Russia
The Passage building features rounded facades with decorative balconies and large glass windows across its two-story structure in central Vologda.
Built in the late 18th century, the Passage initially served as a residential mansion before being transformed into a hotel with shops in the 1820s.
The first floor contained various trading stalls selling groceries and fresh fruits, while the second floor housed hotel rooms and a restaurant.
The building currently undergoes restoration work since 2012, with plans to reopen as a tourist center with hotel and restaurant facilities.
In July 1917, Russian poet Sergei Yesenin and his fiancée Zinaida Reich had dinner at the hotel's restaurant during their stay in Vologda.
