Назарьево, Regional cultural heritage estate in Nazaryevo, Russia
Nazaryevo is an estate located on the Bolshaya Vyazemka riverbank, consisting of a main house with Gothic details and sprawling park grounds. A stone chapel built in Empire style completes the complex and dates to the early 1800s.
The estate was first recorded in the 17th century and became the property of Prince Boris Alexeyevich Golitsyn through a decree from Peter I in 1694. The family shaped its development over succeeding generations.
The chapel and main house display the aristocratic taste for refined architectural forms that remain visible today. The grounds surrounding the buildings reflect the design ideals that landowners pursued during the 1800s.
The estate now serves as a rest house and can be viewed from the exterior, with grounds available for exploration. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes since pathways through the park have varying surfaces.
The park holds rare tree species such as Siberian fir, Siberian larch, and several local maple varieties alongside weeping birch. This botanical variety makes the grounds a place where visitors can see different forest types found across Russia within a single private setting.
