Gridchinhall, Art gallery and creative residency in Krasnogorsky District, Russia
Gridchinhall is an art center with exhibition spaces, living quarters, and workshops located in Dmitrovskoe village in the Krasnogorsky District. The facility combines large gallery rooms with artist studios and residential areas in a single modern building.
The center was founded in 2009 and was then the largest contemporary art exhibition hall in the Moscow Oblast region. Entrepreneur Sergei Gridchin established it as a new space for both artistic production and public presentation.
The space serves as a working hub where resident artists develop pieces in real time, and visitors can observe the creative process across studios and shared areas. This active artist community shapes how the building functions as both a workplace and exhibition venue.
The center hosts regular exhibitions and guided tours for visitors, especially students in creative fields. It helps to check ahead what work is being created in the studios to get the most from a visit.
A distinctive five-walled wooden cottage from another era was relocated to the property during construction and now serves as an office space. This unusual structure stands as a visible reminder of the project's creative and unconventional approach.
