Krasnogorsky District

Krasnogorsky is an administrative district in Moscow Oblast that blends urban and rural areas across its territory. The region includes municipalities of varying character, from more developed towns to quiet settlements surrounded by open land.

The district took its current administrative form in 2017 when Moscow Oblast underwent a restructuring of municipal boundaries. This reorganization reshaped how local communities were grouped and governed within the region.
