The Administrative Building of the Uralmash Plant is a structure with an F-shaped layout made up of rectangular blocks with asymmetrical facades. Multiple corridors connect these blocks and allow movement throughout the entire structure.
This building was constructed between 1933 and 1935 during the Soviet Union's first Five-Year Plan as the administrative center of the Uralmash complex. Its construction was part of the large-scale industrial development happening in the region at that time.
The building shows Soviet design choices through geometric shapes and plain materials that put function before decoration. You can see how a major factory operation was structured in its physical form.

Architects Pyotr Oransky and Béla Scheffler originally planned a ten-story tower that was never built. Instead, they adapted the final design to create better access routes to the factory grounds.
