Skanör Church, Lutheran church in Skanör med Falsterbo, Sweden
The medieval church features a Romanesque nave with a vaulted ceiling, Gothic windows, and a bell tower with crow-stepped gables characteristic of Scanian architecture.
Built in the 13th century, Skanör Church expanded during the prosperous herring trade era when the Hanseatic League established the Scania Market nearby.
The interior contains a Renaissance altar, a medieval baptismal font, and a bell crafted by master bell-maker Gherhard Crammar from Lübeck.
The church maintains regular services as part of the Skanör-Falsterbo parish within the Diocese of Lund of the Church of Sweden.
The church includes a medieval crypt, making it one of only four churches in Scania with this architectural feature.
