Villa Hasselbacken

Villa Hasselbacken is a residential building displaying neoclassical design with corner pilasters topped by Ionic capitals and decorative medallions set into the walls. The structure shows careful architectural attention to classical proportions and ornamental details.

Wilhelm Davidson, a confectioner and owner of Restaurant Hasselbacken, commissioned the villa's construction in 1866 through architect Ernst Jacobsson. The building reflected the prosperity and status of successful merchants in that era.

The villa hosted musical performances by opera singer Jeanette Jacobsson, who attracted music enthusiasts to the house. These gatherings gave the place a reputation as a center for artistic expression in the neighborhood.
