Bellmanstatyn

The Bellmanstatyn is a bronze sculpture on a granite pedestal at Hasselbacken on Djurgården, showing a seated figure with a lute. The work stands near a historic oak tree, and a replica version exists at the Kräftriket location overlooking Brunnsviken.

The work was created in 1872 by Alfred Nyström and was his first major public artwork. A prominent actor served as the model for the figure depicted in this sculpture.
