Riddaren 10, Historical building in Östermalm district, Stockholm, Sweden

Riddaren 10 is a late 19th-century building on Grev Turegatan in Östermalm with a striking stone and brick facade. The structure occupies a corner position with multiple entrances that connect to different tenants and interior spaces.

The building was constructed between 1896 and 1898 as a riding facility with an attached restaurant. A fire in 1913 damaged the riding hall significantly, leading to structural modifications and changes in use.

The building houses the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, bringing together academics and professionals in its meeting spaces. The restaurant Grodan inside serves as a gathering place where visitors and members share meals and conversation.

The building sits at a busy intersection with good access to public transport and nearby amenities in the Östermalm district. Visitors can easily access different areas through the multiple street-level entrances.

The building's original name Tattersall references the famous London horse auction halls of the same name. This naming choice reflects Stockholm's past importance as a center for equestrian trade and horse activities.
