Pasir Ris Town Park, Public park in Pasir Ris, Singapore.
Pasir Ris Town Park is a public green space in Singapore featuring a marine pond at its center, playgrounds, and fitness areas. Pathways wind through the space beneath mature trees and tropical vegetation.
Development of the park began in 1984 with input from Japanese landscape specialists. The project was completed in phases, with most sections finished by the early 1990s.
The marine pond serves as a gathering place where local residents regularly practice fishing and connect with water-based traditions.
The park sits about five minutes on foot from the Pasir Ris MRT station and features cycling paths and exercise areas. A hawker center with many food stalls is located within the grounds.
Elevated wooden boardwalks run through a mangrove reserve within the park and include observation towers for viewing wildlife. These walkways let visitors observe birds and other creatures in their natural habitat.
