Wat Phra That Chom Chaeng

The temple complex includes a golden chedi measuring 29 meters in height and 10 meters in width, featuring a standing Buddha statue at its front section.

The temple traces its origins to 788 AD when the first structure was built under the name Wat Phra Tat Chuang Chaeng, establishing its presence in the region.

The temple houses multiple Buddhist relics, including reported strands of Buddha's hair, making it an important spiritual center for religious ceremonies and meditation.

Visitors must arrange local transportation such as tuk-tuks or songthaews to reach the temple, as no public transit connects directly from Phrae city center.

The temple grounds contain a hell garden that displays various scenes meant to convey Buddhist moral teachings, alongside an older brick chedi at the rear section.
