Church of the Transfiguration, Poltava

The Church of the Transfiguration is a stone building with a central dome and prominent bell tower that shape the city skyline. Inside, a three-tiered gilded iconostasis with silver and stone-adorned icons creates an ornate focal point of the interior space.

Architect Andrey Thon designed this building in the middle of the 19th century as a significant work for the city. It was later recognized as an Architectural Heritage site of national importance in Ukraine.
