Липова алея, Protected botanical area in Uzhhorod, Ukraine.
The Linden Alley is a protected botanical area stretching along the right bank of the Uzh River and featuring two rows of linden trees that extend the full length of the route. This green corridor provides a pedestrian space lined with pathways for walking and cycling.
Czech botanists designed and established this green corridor in 1928 to preserve the natural character of the region. Since then, it has remained under official protection as part of the natural and cultural heritage of the oblast.
The Linden Alley connects several important municipal buildings and serves as a central gathering place where residents walk and spend time together. It functions as a vibrant part of daily urban life in the city, drawing people throughout the year.
The area remains free to access year-round and is closed to vehicles, making it ideal for walking and cycling. It is best visited during dry weather when the pathways are safe and comfortable to walk on.
Different linden varieties bloom one after another from May through July, creating an extended flowering period along the route. Visitors can observe fragrant flowers at various stages throughout the summer months.
