Hotel Continental, Palace of Culture in Mariupol, Ukraine
The Hotel Continental is a three-story building with stone elements on its facade located in Mariupol. It housed a concert hall and restaurant on the ground floor, while upper levels provided space for various community events and cultural activities.
The building was constructed between 1887 and 1910 and featured a private power plant that supplied it with electricity, representing technological progress at the time. During World War II it was used by German officers before later being converted to a cultural center.
The building served as a gathering place for theater companies and dance groups, where artists met and exhibitions of local work were held. Its rooms hosted the local creative community and reflected the city's connection to its performers.
The building is located on Kharlampievskaya Street 17 in central Mariupol and contains multiple spaces designed for different purposes. Visitors can easily access various areas within the building for performances and gatherings.
