Museum of Kharkiv University

The Museum of Kharkiv University contains photographs, manuscripts, and personal items from notable alumni and faculty members of the educational institution.

Established on December 30, 1972, the museum preserves the legacy of one of Ukraine's oldest educational institutions, dating back to its foundation in 1804.

The collection includes 2,500 graphic sheets by Western European artists, initially gathered through Vasyl Karazin's initiative to establish the university's art collection in 1805.

The museum organizes guided tours and exhibitions within the university grounds, making it accessible to students, researchers, and visitors interested in academic history.

Only six percent of the museum's original collection survived World War II, as most items could not be evacuated before the city fell to enemy forces.
