Бурбун

Burbunis a waterfall near Lysets village in Khmelnytskyi region that plunges into a small turquoise pool surrounded by shell-covered rocks. The water collects at the bottom of a natural gorge where silicon and shell deposits create an unusual geological formation.

The waterfall location belonged to the Mynkivtsi State during the 18th and 19th centuries under administration by Ignacy Scibor-Marchocki. The area later became integrated into the regional territories and lost its separate political identity.

Local residents maintain traditions of gathering wild berries and mushrooms in the forest areas surrounding the waterfall throughout different seasons.

The descent to the waterfall requires good footwear and careful footing on slippery stones near the water. Bring your own food and water since shops and facilities do not exist near this location.

The water stays cold throughout the year because dense forest cover blocks direct sunlight and the geological structure does not retain heat. This creates a naturally cool environment that feels refreshing even during warm months.
